Hamilton Field California WWII Letter

Written by a soldier at Hamilton Field California, during WWII, in February 1945. From the letter…….

I arrived safe and sound and the train was in time. Today I cleared the field and I am going to Fort Sheridan to be seperated from the Army and we have to be there 25 Feb. Tell pa and Carl to get the battery for the car charged and pump air in the tires and leave the battery out of the car till I get home…..The weather around here turned warm with no rain for a change. Today we moved to different barracks and we had to do a lot of moving and I think we will leave Monday to Fort sheridan, and I will let you know when we leave…...
